Becoming a mum can feel overwhelming as you navigate through the transition. The 'Mindful Mamma First Year' course is a postnatal preparation class which combines mindfulness and hypnosis techniques for a calm and confident first year.
Often during pregnancy, we prepare for childbirth. but forget to prepare for the postnatal period. This class offers you the chance to think ahead to your first days and weeks of motherhood. The class is a 3.5 hour class which can be undertaken during the latter stages of pregnancy (around 37 weeks, once you have started your maternity leave). This class is just for you to take the time to make the adjustments you will need to make to prepare you for becoming a mother. We will focus on the physical, emotional and practical challenges that many new mums face and how to overcome these.
Classes are taught as a group in Aberdeen, or surrounding areas. They give you the opportunity to interact collaboratively with other women at the same stage of their motherhood journey.
